I believe everyone deserves quality, affordable healthcare and will do whatever I can in Richmond to make that a reality. Our first step should be passing Medicaid Expansion, which would cover 400,000 currently uninsured Virginians. The General Assembly has refused to pass this legislation for years now, and subsequently has left millions and millions of Virginia’s tax dollars on the table in Washington rather than keeping resources here in the Commonwealth to improve our healthcare and create thousands of jobs.
In an era of constant attacks from anti-choice extremists in Washington and Richmond, it is more important than ever to stand up and protect women’s rights. I will defend a woman’s right to make her own healthcare decisions and fight to keep extremists from defunding Planned Parenthood.
